Sports Day 2014 - another glorious day!

Sports Day 2014 was held at the wonderful facilities at Stirling University Sports campus on Saturday 31st May. The sun was shining on the 400 plus young people from the 21 churches involved in the events.

The campus became a hive of activity as the young people competed in various sports: Athletics (track and field), Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Netball, Swimming  and Dance Mat. It was a great day of fun, fellowship and faith and was rounded-off with the Awards Ceremony and a powerful gospel message given by Dave Hampton from Christians in Sport.

The Overall Winners Shield was presented to Kirkintilloch this year, with the Ronnie McLure Trophy going to Stirling as the Runners-up. The John Leitch Memorial Trophy for the 4 X 400m relay was received by Kirkintilloch.

A great day was had by all and we are very grateful to all the volunteers who made sure the day ran smoothly. In particular our thanks goes to Christians in Sport for providing the speaker as well as a number of referees and umpires.
