Prayer Link for April
Rev Carol Campbell, Lead Healthcare Chaplain, Clyde Area.
As chaplain, I have the privilege of caring for patients, relatives and staff. Please pray that I may reflect something of the
love and beauty of Christ in all that I do. Pray also for God's wisdom and guidance as I seek to
develop the chaplaincy service in the Clyde area.
Rev Anne Dougall, Chaplain, West Glasgow Hospitals.
In December 2012 I was diagnosed with a rare carcinoid tumour in the cardio-thoracic area. I am
now getting stronger every day as the Lord Jesus Christ heals me. I would like to thank everyone
who has been praying for me. Please pray for complete healing. Thank you.
Stranraer: Rev Stuart Macdonald.
We praise God: as Pastor Stuart Macdonald has completed his first year of ministry in our church; for the
start of a teenage Bible study on Tuesday nights; for the work that members are involved in with
Scripture Union and chaplaincy work in some of the local primary schools and Stranraer Academy.
Please pray: for the youth work as the leaders of 2 groups, PALS, a mums and toddlers group, and a
midweek children’s club, have told us they will not be continuing next session; for the church as, over
the coming months, we hope to spend time developing a relevant Church Vision Statement;
for the congregation as there are many with health or personal difficulties at this time.
Strathendrick. We had a prayer room in the village hall on 22nd March from 10am to 10pm
that was publicised locally. Previous ones have been well used by lots of people outwith our
church. We’re also planning a ‘Songs of Praise’ evening with the other two churches in the village
– perhaps later in May. Please remember us.
Please pray for this Orkney church where many members faithfully serve the local
Thomas Coats Memorial, Paisley.
Please pray for the church and its pastor Rev Theo Corney.
Tillicoultry: Rev Peter Foster.
We are thankful to God for all His goodness and faithfulness to us
through the ups and downs of life. We arethinking about the word ‘expectation’ and how we
can encourage one another to expect more from God and look to Him to challenge and change us.
Having bought the building adjacent to us from the local Council – it was the Public
Conveniences! – we have just received planning permission to convert it to a flexible meeting room
and are looking forward to all the uses it can be put to. Please pray that this new resource will be
used well for the blessing of the community.
Another great adventure for TBC this year is a church team trip, with TearFund, to Zambia in the
summer. The trip is not just for those going, but for the whole church to get behind in prayer,
enthusiasm and financial support. Please pray for the organisation and fundraising happening in the
next few months and that the whole church will learn more of God’s heartbeat of mission to the
world through the next months.
We have changed our church organisational structure, necessary as we have grown past the
more organic way we have worked in the past. Please pray for our new Ministry Leaders and
their teams – that they will have wisdom, vision and enthusiasm and that the whole church will feel
supported and encouraged in their service of God, the church, the community and the world.
Please pray for our small church as we worship in the Community Hall, seeking the way
forward with our building and a part-time Minister.
