June Prayer Link

Sunday 5th

Stirling: Senior Pastor: Rev Alasdair Black. Praise God for a gifted ministry team; well attended services, week by week; a lively children and youth programme; the Family Life Centre and its potential use. Pray for: ongoing development of small groups; the development of pastoral care structures; the appointment of a new youth pastor; discernment, as we seek God’s will for the future.

Stonehaven. Please pray for this church, which is currently vacant.

Sunday 12th

Strathendrick: Our church had a ‘12 hour prayer room’ in March – it was in the village hall and it made a big impact on our own people and brought in Christians of other denominations. We plan another for 10th June. We want to hear God more clearly and to influence our community by praying for them.

Stromness. Please pray for this church in Orkney which currently is vacant.

Sunday 19th

Thomas Coats Memorial: Rev Theo Corney. Please pray for us as we continue to discern the Lord’s will for our future and to minister to the needs of an elderly congregation.
We rejoice in recent good attendance and as we prepare for a baptismal service in June.

Thurso: Rev Stuart Dunnett. Please join us in giving thanks to God for our Baptist church in Thurso. We are thankful for 20 years of faithful ministry from Rev Stuart and Mrs Nessie Dunnett. We give thanks for continued growth in numbers, especially families. Our building is not
big enough on Sunday mornings, and we are investigating the possibility of adding an extension as a Sunday School room. Please pray that we will know the right way forward on this.
Our Ladies Bible Studies continue to be blessed, and we join other Thurso churches in three months of children’s and youth outreach.
A number of our members suffer from ill health. We ask for strength to love and care for those in need. Pray that we may worship God together, pray and seek His will, be witnesses of Christ’s power in our lives by His Spirit. Finally, we ask for help as we seek to create stronger links with other local Baptist churches.

Sunday 26th

Tillicoultry: Rev Peter Foster. Faithful and committed people have made a difference in Tillicoultry Baptist and in the community over many years. Today, many of these people are still really involved and we thank God for them.
Like in many areas, Council facilities and services here are being cut. We pray that during this process we will play a positive role in the community. As we seek the way ahead for us as a church we would appreciate your prayers. The future may be exciting but it is still somewhat unknown and we pray that we would know God’s guidance, empowering and wisdom.

Tiree. We give thanks for the ways in which we have been able to serve our Lord in the absence of a Minister, and would ask for guidance in using our limited resources for future ministry. With the delapidation of church buildings we are thankful to be able to worship in the Community Hall, and seek guidance in our decisions on church renovation. We are also thankful for help given to the fellowship by Andrew Rollinson and pray that God will be with him in his new area of service.
