The Baptist Union of Scotland Mission Department presents
Discipling, Coaching, Mentoring.
A day conference in Bridge of Don Baptist Church on 14th November, 2009, from 10am until 4pm.
Whole-life discipleship is on the agenda of many growing churches. Leaders are recognising that a Christlike life does not just happen but must be planned in to the life of the church. This day will introduce you to the approach that Jesus used in making disciples. You will acquire skills to enable you to mentor young leaders and others in your church.
The course leader is Bryn Hughes, who has conducted over 200 leadership seminars enhancing the management skills of Christian leaders. Among others, he was worked with the Church of England, the Church of Scotland, Elim Church, New Frontiers International and the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
Freelance Mission Consultant Rev Peter Neilson says "My first introduction to the themes of vision, change, teamwork and leadership came through Bryn Hughes when he led seminars for us at St Ninian’s in Crieff. I owe a great debt to him for laying these foundations. His insights are biblical and practical. His teaching methods are related in the participant’s experience. And he is great fun to be with for a day!"
The cost of the day is £10 for an individual, or £25 for a church group of four or more. Bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
You'll find a pdf booking form under the "Mission" heading on our Downloads page. For more information, contact Rev Andy Scarcliffe, Mission Advisor to the Baptist Union of Scotland, mission@scottishbaptist.org.uk, 0141 433 4551.
